I pulled out the fuse box to see what’s going on in there. The fuse box is located to the left of the steering column. Its normally affixed by two screws, but mine seemed to be missing those. It was a bit jammed but ultimately I was able to pull it out.
This is the front of the fuse box.

These are the descriptions of the fuses per the service manual, their resistance and length. The resistance seems to be wearing off the fuse box a bit, so these values come straight from the manual.

After much research into fuses, I now understand the labelling system. There are broadly two types of glass fuses. SFE which vary in length depending on amps, to prevent utilizing the wrong one, and AGC fuses which come in different lengths but unrelated to their amps. The following sheet lists the part numbers by size.
Here, then, are the fuse part numbers that work
1 1/4″ Length | Quantity Needed. Note you’d use AGC Fuses as the only 1 1/14″ SFE is an SFE 20 (well you could use that for the Dome Light Fuse) |
3A | 1 |
5A | 2 |
7.5A | 1 |
10A | 2 |
20A | 1 |
25A | 1 |
30A | 1 |
7/8″ Length | Quantity Needed. Note you’d use AGW fuses as the only 7/8″ SFE are SFE 7.5 and SFE 9 (which you could use for the Back-up lights and power antenna motor) |
6A | 2 |
9A | 2 |
Here are some products that fit the bill:
AGC (1 1/4″) Assorted; there are also lots of individual AGC fuses
AGW (7/8″) 6A
